ROBBIN & KAREN

A Cinematic Elopement Across Two Lisbon Palaces. A day of old-world elegance, vintage romance, and quiet, deeply felt joy.

Karen and Robbin came from Taipei to Lisbon to be married for each other, and no one else. They chose two of Portugal's most cinematic royal palaces as the only witnesses, and they wanted the day to feel like a film still rather than a ceremony: refined, deliberate, beautifully unhurried.

Pestana Palace

& Palácio da Ajuda

The day began at Pestana Palace Lisboa, the former Valle Flor estate, where painted ceilings, gilded salons and historic gardens set a tone of romantic opulence: an intimate, slow-paced opening of the day.

It later carried into Palácio da Ajuda, where the scale opened up to long stone arcades and a vast cobblestone courtyard. A vintage white Porsche waited there, its soft curves echoing the palace's neoclassical lines. Karen in a strapless ivory gown and crystal sunburst heels, Robbin in a sharp black tuxedo, the two of them passing a newspaper they had printed together, telling their own story in headlines and photographs. Classic, but never staid, the kind of elegance that leaves room for laughter. The story was later featured in British Vogue, a fitting home for a day built on quiet confidence and Lisbon at its most luminous.
